(Monrovia, Liberia August 7, 2022):
The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) wishes to inform the scientific community and the general public of a change regarding the 4th edition of the Emmett A. Dennis National Scientific Conference scheduled for August 29th-31, 2023.
Regrettably, the conference technical committee has postponed the conference due to the political campaign surrounding the presidential and legislative elections, which commenced on August 5, 2023.
The conference committee says its primary priority is the safety and well-being of international and local guests invited to the conference. The committee has carefully considered the potential risks and disruptions that could arise due to the proximity of the scientific conference date to these political events.
Considering this national event, the conference committee has carefully assessed the situation and commits to ensuring a smooth plan to engage in extensive consultations with our partners, potential guests, and participants to determine a more suitable date within the first quarter of 2024 for the Emmett A. Dennis National Scientific Conference.
We sincerely appreciate your dedication and efforts toward this noble cause, and we look forward to fostering a stronger collaboration in future endeavors. Rest assured that the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) remains fully committed to organizing a successful and meaningful conference. We will inform you of any updates as we work diligently to reschedule the ENDSC.
